The Commander of the IRGC Quds Force stated: The plan to disarm Hezbollah stems from the Zionist regime's inability to conduct military operations, as if the Zionist regime could disarm Hezbollah through military action, it would not have requested a ceasefire.
Major General Esmail Ghaani, Commander of the IRGC Quds Force, in an interview with the television program "Ham-Ahd," broadcast on Channel One of IRIB to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, the martyred leaders of Hezbollah in Lebanon, said: A year has passed since the martyrdom of the hero of the resistance front, the martyr of resistance, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and his loyal companion and brother, the mujahid Sayyed Hashem Safieddine.
He added: Naturally, if we look at this year with an ordinary perspective, it was a year full of ups and downs, grief, and longing. However, when we examine the events with a deeper perspective, we realize that this year has truly been one of the golden periods of Hezbollah's display of power.
Major General Ghaani, describing Hezbollah's operations against Israel following the start of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, said: Sayyed had decided to start the operations from "tomorrow night." Martyr Nasrallah said that on Sundays in Lebanon, many people head to the south, and the days are busy, so it would be better to delay the start of operations until nighttime when movements and traffic decrease, and the conditions for execution are more suitable. This decision reflects the "wisdom and prudent behavior" that was immediately implemented.
The IRGC Quds Force Commander stated: Martyr Nasrallah knew the enemy well and understood the regime thoroughly. While he spoke with honesty, he was known for his sincerity in the regime. Despite the grandeur of this work, the Zionist regime, while enduring conventional warfare, at a certain point disrupted the conventional equation and began assassinating commanders.
He said: In the pager explosion, nearly four thousand people were martyred or injured. When I went to Lebanon after the pager incident, I saw how firmly Sayyed stood in the face of such a severe incident. Other incidents had also occurred.
The Quds Force Commander noted: He said a sentence that demonstrated the profound spiritual strategy of Hezbollah's members. He said that if our society were not Husayni, this incident would not have been bearable. He referred to the injured from that incident as Husayni and Abbasid wounded, as their eyes and hands were injured. This spiritual perspective kept Hezbollah's organization and society so resilient.
According to Fars News, Major General Ghaani, referring to the developments over the past year since the start of "Operation Al-Aqsa Storm" and the martyrdom of the hero of the resistance front, said: We had been worried about Sayyed's safety for a long time. This was among the issues discussed between us and his security officials, and some measures had been taken. They were very diligent about Sayyed. For example, in the last meeting I had with Sayyed, we went to a place we had never been to before. That location also had its own unique features in terms of fortification.
He said: Zionist regime officials admitted that one-third of the regime's capabilities were tied up with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, so it could not exert more pressure on Gaza. The regime disrupted the war equation with the martyrdom of commanders and the pager incidents. It reached a point where this great crime occurred, and they martyred Sayyed. This act is among the regime's crimes, and if the time comes to address this crime, there are various points to discuss.
A chemical operation also took place in the assassination of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah; it was not just an explosion.
The Quds Force Commander, referring to the manner of Martyr Nasrallah's martyrdom, stated: The Zionist regime used the heaviest bombs in the world. In addition to explosives, the regime used chemical agents. In other words, a chemical operation took place; it was not just an explosion. The primary cause of his martyrdom was not merely the explosion. Although precautions had been taken, the type of materials used led to his martyrdom. It was not an ordinary operation but a war crime.
He said: Sayyed was the tallest and strongest mountain in Lebanon. All the people of Lebanon, whether Shia or non-Shia, looked to him as a refuge and a mountain; a mountain that not only stood firm itself but also provided support for others to lean on.
Major General Ghaani stated: After the martyrdom of Sayyed and senior commanders, Hezbollah found itself in a situation that was perhaps unprecedented. Some ranks had lost up to two layers of command. In such conditions, the Zionist regime launched its fiercest war against Hezbollah; a war unprecedented since the beginning of the conflict between the front of truth and falsehood. On one side of this war was an army that claims to be the strongest in the region, supported by the United States, NATO, and unfortunately, some countries posing as Islamic.
He said: The world was at the Zionist regime's disposal, and they came to its aid with all their resources. The regime used all available tools typically at its disposal in this war. The media often superficially passed over it and did not reflect the depth of the matter. The Zionists, through repeated media campaigns and psychological operations, propagated that Hezbollah had weakened, to the extent that even some of our own people believed this rumor. If one deeply examines the 66-day war, it becomes clear that such glory for Hezbollah is unprecedented in its history.
