The naval fleet "Steadfastness," which has departed from dozens of countries en route to Gaza, has reached the "danger" point, and it is likely that by the time you read this report, it has come under attack from the Zionist regime.
For years, the Gaza Strip has been under a comprehensive siege by the Zionist regime, and one of the primary reasons for the October 7 operation was also liberation from this situation. Following the aggression by America and the Zionist regime against Gaza, along with the widespread killing and destruction in this strip, the need for medicine, food, and water has become more urgent than ever—so much so that today, water and food there are more valuable than gold.
The extermination of Palestinians through the instruments of hunger, thirst, and disease has escalated to the point where 50 boats and small ships from 44 countries worldwide, under the banner of the "Steadfastness Naval Fleet" or "Global Steadfastness," have set sail for Gaza with the goal of breaking this siege and delivering medicine and food. Yesterday, it was announced that these boats and small ships have arrived at the danger point and the location designated by the Zionist regime, with drones and warships of the Zionist regime potentially attacking them at any moment. There is a real possibility that, as you read this report, the Zionists have already launched an assault on these boats.
Italy: We Will Not Protect Sumud!
Yesterday, Italy's Ministry of Defense announced: "As soon as the Sumud convoy reaches Gaza's 150-nautical-mile border, the accompanying Italian navy and vessel will halt." According to ISNA, after the "Global Steadfastness" fleet's ships approached the point set by the Zionist regime, that regime's broadcasting organization reported on Tuesday: "The ships of this fleet have been towed to Ashdod port, and it is likely that some of them will be sunk at sea."
According to a Reuters report, Italy's Ministry of Defense stated in a Tuesday evening communique: "As has been announced multiple times in recent days, once the convoy reaches the 150-nautical-mile border, the accompanying Italian navy and vessel will stop."
The statement emphasized that this vessel will issue two warnings to the activists, with the second and final warning expected around 00:00 GMT—when the fleet is anticipated to reach the designated distance. Prior to this, Maria Elena Delia, the Italian spokesperson for the fleet, had stated: "The activists are aware of the government's plans to stop and return the naval vessel to avoid a diplomatic incident with Israel... This fleet has no intention of heeding Italy's warnings against approaching the coast."
